Dovetail Dental’s story began in 2007, when Dr. Joe Cariello purchased his first practice and renamed it Dovetail Dental Associates. Since then, the practice has continued to grow while holding onto the same belief that started it all: patients come first.
In 2011, Dovetail expanded into the Lakes Region with Interlakes Family Dental. Dr. Senat became a partner in 2018, and in 2025, the practice grew again with the addition of Dovetail Dental of Londonderry, where Dr. Tehani joined as a partner.
As corporate dentistry continues to grow, Dovetail remains committed to something different: staying independent, keeping decisions close to the people they serve, and never losing the personal side of dentistry.
That same people-first philosophy extends beyond their practices and into their community.
A Natural Partnership
Dovetail’s connection with Marguerite’s Place began through Dr. Cariello. A close friend of his works with our organization, and through that relationship, the Dovetail team learned more about the work happening every day here at Marguerite’s Place.
“The more we learned, the more it hit home,” shared Kelly Trask, Multi Practice Team Leader.
Dovetail works with people every day. Patients may walk through their doors for dental care, but the team knows that life doesn’t stop in the dental chair. They see people navigating job loss, financial stress, family changes, health challenges, and other seasons of hardship.
“Sometimes people need a little extra help, and we’ve always tried to meet them where they are, when we can.”
This philosophy is what ultimately drew Dovetail Dental to support Marguerite’s Place.
Investing in the Capital Expansion Project
When Dovetail learned about The Place for Possibility, Marguerite’s Place’s capital expansion project, they saw an opportunity to help strengthen that work for years to come.
By purchasing tax credits through NH CDFA, Dovetail Dental is helping Marguerite’s Place expand the space and resources available to local families, creating greater opportunities for mothers and children to move from crisis toward stability and, ultimately, possibility.
“The need is real, and it is not going away. Having an organization willing to step into that gap matters,” Kelly said.
Dovetail Dental has always believed that patients come first. Now, through their partnership with Marguerite’s Place, that same belief reaches beyond the dental chair, putting people first, right here in our community.
